Take one can of fruit.........

Evening everyone, i dunno about you but its been a bit blustery here in the fens..
Tonights post is called take a simple can of fruit. I found this idea on splitcoaststampers and thought i would have a go, i was pleased with the end result

First you find a tin of fruit that has a ring pull on it, then you get a magican tin opener and cut open the bottom, tip out fruit and enjoy! Wash the can and lid thoroughly and leave to dry. Peel off label. When dry put in the tin your gift wrapped in some tissue. Run some diamond glaze around the rim of the lid and carefully replace the bottom of the tin, making sure that your present is safely tucked inside.

Measure around the can with some string so that you can see how long a piece of paper you require. Also measure the height, depending on the tin depends on the size of paper. When you have done this cut the paper and stick around the tin. I have used some ribbon around the tin too. Before i added the paper i used my stampin' up!® roller and a butterfly wheel to add a pattern.

I used the wheel again on some spare paper and cut out the butterflies. I used a compass to measure the top of the tin and drew a circle, then used a small 1" circle punch to take the piece out where the ring pull is. The top embellisment is made using a scallop punch, some odd scraps of card, and a sentiment stamp. I tied some string around and added a tag, the butterflies were cut from the spare paper i had stamped with the roller and fix onto the tin with glue dots. You could add some glitter glue on the butterflies to make it more sparkly if you liked! Your simple gift is now made and you will get a WOW when you give it!!
